This estate of almost 15 ha is in the village of Saint-Just-sur-Dive, south of Saumur, in the Loire Valley. Romain Guiberteau, from Berry, took over the family estate in 1996. He has ceaselessly improved the quality of the wines every year, notably the white Saumurs, today ranked amongst the best of that appellation. The vines flourish in the different lands of Saumur: at Montreuil-Bellay on deep clay soils, and at Brézé and Bizay on clay-limestone soils. Some vines on the property are over 80 years old. The estate has been completely organic since 2003.

    Tasting notes

This Saumur 2015, perfectly balanced, is both rich and nervy. The direct, subtle bouquet opens with lovely floral notes mixed with quince and candied citrus. Next, the minerality is revealed in all its splendour, over a suggestion of salinity. It is tonic and nervy on the palate. The mineral structure gives this crystalline wine good length.
