Coming from a great line of wine-makers going back to the 16th century, Auguste Morey became the tenant of the Comtes Lafon estate in 1935. While Pierre Morey was establishing himself in Meursault in 1971 his father progressively assigned to him his tenancy, so he became tenant of the Lafon, Poirier and Morey families. For 20 years he was to be, in addition to working his own estate and his tenancies, steward of Domaine Leflaive at Puligny-Montrachet. Pierre and his daughter, Anne, today have around 10 Ha spread between different parcels in the municipalities of Monthelie, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet and a large part at Meursault. When the Comtes Lafon estate decided to recover its vines, Pierre and Marie created a small trading activity, under the name Morey-Blanc, to compensate for the loss.

    Tasting notes

This wine is an assembly from the different climates of Meursault. The nose gives out aromas of candied lemon and citrus, pineapple and exotic fruits with notes of flowers. Its years being matured in the bottle give it delicate touches of truffle. It is long and mineral on the palate, with great finesse. A very harmonious vintage.
