The Ogier family has been settled in Ampuis, the birthplace of the Rhone valley’s finest wines for six generations. Stéphane joined his father Michel in 1997, after studying oenology in Beaune, from which he has retained a taste for elegance and finesse. The twenty hectares of the estate lie on a schist and granite terroir, 3.5 hectares of which come under the Côte-Rôtie appellation, spread over ideally located plots. The vintage “Le Temps est Venu” comes from plots on the Plan-de-Dieu and Visan plots, right in the heart of the Côtes du Rhône.

    Tasting notes

The bouquet, expressive and direct, is marked by raspberry, cherry and blackcurrant, with remarkable notes of peppery herbs, dried flowers and violets. It attacks the palate directly with a lovely aromatic intensity and lots of taste. Red and black fruits dominate. Delicate tannins that give it a subtle, fresh finish.
