The estate began with the Larsan family in the 17th century. Its excellence quickly came to light in Le Féret, the wine guide of the period, which in 1874 classed it as one of the best estates of the appellation. The Flageul family bought Château Brillette in 1975. It is at Moulis-en-Médoc, at the heart of Haut-Médoc, on the left bank of the Gironde estuary. The 40 Ha vineyard spreads across the gravels of Günz, at one of the highest points of the municipality of Moulis. The lands of Brillette are made up of fine gravel giving, in good weather, the particular brilliance that gave its name to the estate!

    Tasting notes

This wine has a seductive nose with heady aromas. It exudes well-ripened blackcurrant, blackberry and strawberry. These blend with notes of toast, wood smoke and liquorice. Round and intense on the palate it has a soft, balanced texture thanks to velvety tannins and delicate acidity. Harmonious and long with a fruity, vanilla finish.
