        Les amers sont des spiritueux traditionnels des Caraïbes, réalisés à partir de distillats de canne à sucre, d'épices, de fruits et de plantes diverses. En 2018, la société Velier a décidé de créer la marque Florita pour rendre hommage à cette tradition et à la richesse en saveurs d'Haïti. Les bitters sont utilisés dans la composition de nombreux cocktails depuis le début du XIXe siècle. Ce bitter est réalisé à partir d'une distillation de citrus sinensis, une orange amère de la région de Cap-Haïtien.
