Le domaine Bigi est situé dans la région d'Ombrie, le cœur vert de l'Italie. Créé en 1880 dans un ancien monastère franciscain confisqué par le gouvernement italien, le domaine s'étend aujourd'hui sur 145 hectares, cultivés sur des parcelles situées entre 150 mètres et 450 mètres d'altitude, sur un sol calcaire. Vipra est un assemblage de merlot, de sangiovese et de montepulciano, qui tire son nom de l'ancien monastère sur lequel le domaine s'est établi. Un vin rouge puissant et équilibré qu'il convient d'ouvrir une demi-heure avant dégustation.
