The Off: Discover the expertise of our prestigious chefs!

From 31st January to 10th March 2020, La Grande Épicerie de Paris pays tribute to our chefs working in our kitchen laboratories in rue de Sèvres. Early in the morning, well before our stores open, they are busy, meticulously preparing sweet and savoury creations for our bakery, pastry and delicatessen stands.
You can discover this exceptional talent for yourself as La Grande Épicerie de Paris is inviting you to a number of exclusive hosted events. Take a look at the programme!

Wednesday, 5th February: A tour of the kitchen laboratories of La Grande Épicerie de Paris
Go behind the scenes to discover the chef’s world of our pastry, bakery and cuisine! Enjoy a guided tour of our kitchen laboratories where all our delicious produce is prepared. You can also watch the chefs in action and uncover some of the secrets of their recipes.
Our kitchen lab tour is taking place on Wednesday, 5th February from 9.00 to 10.00 a.m., at Area -1 of La Grande Epicerie Rive Gauche. Price: 10 Euros
Participants should meet in our reception area, in store, at 8.45 a.m. A complimentary breakfast is offered at the end of the tour.

Saturday, 8th February: Crêpe Atelier for Kids, hosted by our bakery chef, Nicolas Queruel
Join us at our atelier, La Cornue for a children’s Crepe Masterclass, organised with the help of our chefs! Our Bakery Masterclass is taking place on Saturday, 8th February from 2.00 to 4.00 p.m. at La Cornue, in the Maison area on 1st floor of Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche. Price: 10 Euros.

Wednesday, 12th February: Pastry Masterclass**, hosted by our pastry chef, Thibault Leroy
Our pastry chef, Thibault Leroy presents one of our most iconic desserts at La Grande Épicerie de Paris, the Paris-Brest.
Our Pastry Masterclass (for adults) is taking place on Wednesday, 12th February from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m., in the kitchen laboratories of La Grande Épicerie Rive Gauche. – Price: 40 Euros

Thursday 13th February: Gastronomy Masterclass** Gastronomy, hosted by our sous-chef, Zacharie Azecott
On the eve of Valentine's Day, be inspired by sous-chef, Zacharie Azecott as he prepares their lobster ravioli recipe, the perfect dish to accompany an intimate dinner for two. Receive step by step instructions on preparing this dish at our exclusive masterclass, hosted in the kitchen laboratories of La Grande Épicerie de Paris.
Our Gastronomy Masterclass (for adults) is taking place on Thursday, 13th February from 6.00 to 8.00 p.m., at our restaurant, La Table, located on 1st floor of La Grande Épicerie Rive Gauche. Price: 40 Euros

On the Saturdays of 15th and 22nd February: Cookshows* hosted by our atelier chefs at La Cornue.
Meet our chef duos who will prepare dishes in front of you, making light work with 2 pairs of hands. Over 3 hours, they'll be unleashing their creativity and sharing their recipes and techniques with you.
Join us for:
- The Sweet Cookshow (Saturday 15th February): our pastry and bakery chefs run through their method for making puff pastry, an essential part of the millefeuille and lemon puff pastries on our bakery stand.
- The Savoury Cookshow (Saturday 22nd February): Discover the secrets of 3 of our chefs’ creations. Cédric Erimée, chef at La Table, begins by preparing his tartare with iodized notes, mixing scallops, crunch salicornia and aniseed emulsion. He then makes his cream of lentils with bacon dish.
Chef, Jérémie Valdes, shares one of his family’s recipes, passed down by his grandmother. This is a dish of aubergine stuffed with lamb confit called "les mini-capilotades”.
Our chef’s Sweet and Savoury Cookshows are taking place on the Saturdays of 15th and 22nd February at our atelier, La Cornue, located on 1st floor of Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche – in the Maison area.

Thursday 20th February: Masterclass ** Italian pasta revisited, hosted by Cédric Erimée
Enjoy a cookery class in the kitchens of our restaurant, La Table, given by the chef himself. During this exclusive event you’ll learn how to prepare his favourite dish of the moment: Agnolotti with foie gras and artichokes.
Our Gastronomy Masterclass (for adults) is taking place on Thursday, 20th February from 6.00 to 8.00 p.m., at our restaurant, La Table, located on 1st floor of La Grande Épicerie Rive Gauche. Price: 40 Euros

Thursday 27th February: Afterwork*** hosted by our chefs
From 7.00 p.m. onwards, join our chefs for an appetiser at La Table. For this occasion, they are presenting their signature creations and giving you a preview of their spring-summer 2020 collection. You can also enjoy a tasting.
Afterwork, hosted by our chefs, is taking place on Thursday, 27 February from 7.00 to 8.45 p.m.at our restaurant, La Table, located on 1st floor of La Grande Épicerie Rive Gauche. Price: Free of charge (payment required for items consumed)
