In 1974, Charles-Henri Génot and his wife Marie, born Boulanger, settled in Meursault, iconic Côte de Beaune village. They bought their first vines in Mercurey and created Domaine Génot-Boulanger. New parcels of vines at Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, Volnay, Pommard and Beaune would rapidly expand the estate's range. The vineyard would expand over the years. Each of its successors added a stone to the pile, particularly the second generation in the form of Marie and Pierre-André Delaby, who extended the business into Côte de Nuits, and later their son François, who took it into the Puligny-Montrachet appellation. He was joined by his daughter, Aude, and Guillaume Lavollée in 2008.

    Tasting notes

The "Vergers" ("Orchards") parcel has rich, deep soil and was once an orchard, whence comes its name. The wine opens on an intense, complex nose. Well-ripened yellow fruit marries with spicy aromas of white pepper and vanilla, and subtle floral notes of acacia and verbena. Strong and elegant on the palate, revealing an opulent structure, energised with tight mineral vivacity, the whole well balanced.

    Composition

    Contient des SULFITES.
