Domaine Gramenon was established in 1978 at Montbrison-sur-Lez, when Michèle Aubéry-Laurent and Philippe Laurent bought this building surrounded by 12 Ha of old vines. Over time, the plantations plus the acquisition of several parcels on the Vinsobres lands have expanded the vineyard. Today, it covers 26 Ha. After the accidental death of Philippe at the end of 1999, Michèle chose to continue alone. Maxime-François, one of her three children, rejoined the estate in 2006. Maxime-François Laurent launched himself as a wine-trader under his own name in 2006, just after joining the family estate, by concluding a partnership with a neighbouring wine-maker. He makes three vintages, two red and one rosé.

    Tasting notes

This vintage comes from young vines in the villages of Montbrison-sur-Lez and Valréas, grown on a clay-limestone soil. Fresh and pure, the nose expresses the aromas of black fruits like blackberry, married delicately with spices like black pepper and nutmeg. At once fluid and juicy it has a tasty and full bodied texture on the palate, with silky tannins and great freshness.

    Composition

    Contains SULPHITES.
