Blanche de Namur was the daughter of John I, the Marquis of Namur in the early 14th century. It is said that Magnus IV Eriksson, King of Sweden and Norway, was seduced by the young princess’s beauty while en route to France in search of a prestigious wife. The princess left her home for Scandinavia in August 1335 to become the Queen of Norway, Sweden and Skåne. She never saw the banks of the Meuse River again. In memory of the princess’s beauty, gentleness and finesse, the Brasserie de Bocq has crafted this white beer bearing her name: " Blanche de Namur ". This top-quality wheat beer is smooth and mellow with a cloudy golden hue. Round and delicate on the palate from the very first sip, Blanche de Nemur is an exceptional beer.
