Alert me Domaine La Janasse, Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2013

The family history on this estate goes back to 1912, when Aimé Sabon's grandfather planted 5 ha of vines at Courthézon, in the heart of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. For several decades, the grapes went to a wine cooperative. In 1973, Aimé decided to establish his own cellar and vinify his own wine. The estate took the name Domaine de la Janasse. Today, his vines extend over 90 ha. At the end of the '90s, Christophe joined his father and, ten years later, it is his daughter Isabelle's turn.

    Tasting notes

The bouquet is ripe cherries, raspberries, liquorice and pepper. Vegetal notes of violet and charcoal subtly blend in. Delicate and charming on the palate, it has a pure, gracious texture, nicely supplied with delicate tannins. Great harmony!
