This estate has existed since Medieval times. It was built by the Seigneurie de Lescours, in the Beauregard sector, west of the Cheval Blanc castle. It is now owned by the Capdeville family, settled in La Chapelle Lescours on the banks of the Dordogne, on a ridge overlooking the old port of Saint-Émilion. This little 4.2 Ha vineyard, about fifty years old, flourishes on a coarse soil of gravel and ancient sand. Château L'Evêché also produces two other wines: La Chapelle Lescours in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, and Origami in the Bordeaux appellation.
