If the philosophy remains constant, the organoleptic qualities at Krug vary with each vintage. Each year a Vintage is made to stand out from the rest and everything thought is given to helping it reveal its unique character.
The Cellar Master identifies the tone of that year, paying attention to the individuality of each parcel of vines. He selects the most expressive wines of the same year to pay tribute to a particular harvest and matures them for at least ten years in the cellar. The result is vintages remarkable for their elegance, balance and depth.
