THE STORY OF A MAN
At the age of 18, Alain Milliat created an orchard on the family farm, and then several years later he turned certain varieties of his peaches, pears and apples into fruit juice and nectar.
In 1997, he sent his first creations to 60 Relais & Châteaux sommeliers. They were surprised by his innovation and seduced by the quality. He designed and made, in 2007, a 33 cl bottle with rounded shoulders and a sober, elegant appeal that became iconic. His collection of 38 flavours is today presented at the best tables, in grand hotels and the stores of great cities across the world.
AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO FRUIT
In 2013, Alain decided to set up a production workshop in Valence, in the Drôme region. This position allows us to be as close as possible to the fruit producers.
Today, 70% of our French products are produced less than 100 km from the factory.
Alain very soon noticed that the characteristics of a fruit variety, the production area, the irrigation method, the size of the trees, the ripeness of the fruit, and even the natural balance of sweetness and acidity have great influence on the juice. He pays great attention to these elements in order to powerfully recreate the characteristics of the fruit in terms of the colours, textures and aromas.
